We have been to Yoshino, southern mountain side of Nara, where is famous for Cherry trees in spring, but also very famous with their persimmons.

As we had a workshop to make Kakinohazushi (Kakinohazushi is a mackerel sushi wrapped with persimmon leaf) the other day, we have visited the persimmon mountain of Kakinohazushi teacher!

First, we stopped by rest-stop for lunch and had nice Kakinohazushi & Udon noodle <3

And sweet stuff afterwards,,,

Finally visited the persimmon mountain, which was just fabulous scenery wherever I took a photo!

Fresh picked persimmon tasted the best I have ever had, and every single piece is so sweet and ripe.

All the persimmon picked at this mountain is strictly selected by its quality, and to be delivered to shops in Nara.

On the way home, I bought another Kakinohazushi for dinner and was persimmon’s autumn leaf!

Such a sunny, beautiful and peaceful day at persimmon mountain,,, we are all nicely refreshed 🙂
